Taiwanese talents have grabbed a total of 92 awards at this year's Red Dot Design Award of Germany, including six number one trophies. The inventions have claimed far more prizes than any other Asian countries, setting a new record for our nation.

Among the pool of 4,500 designs from 60 countries in the world, Taiwanese designs have won 92 awards in this year's international competition.

It's the best record ever as the number of awards tops the Asia, far more than that of Japan and South Korea.

Taiwan Design Center says that Taiwan's marketing and retailing channels are less competitive and it hopes to get assistance from more venture capital companies to help promote the mass-produced products in more countries in the world.
