DPP chairperson Tsai Ing-wen and former premier Su Tseng-chang both completed their registrations to run for president in 2012 at the party's primary on Wednesday. The two DPP members showed up separately, with Su saying he is looking to unite different camps across Taiwan, while Tsai, is encouraging first-time voters to be active and to be part of the outcome. Accompanied by supporters, former premier Su Jen-chang and his wife Jan Hsiu-ling arrive at the DPP party headquarter to complete the presidential primary sign up. He also invites 12 friends of different generations to cheer up for him. These individuals are former chief secretary of Pingtung County government Wang Shao-chin, former vice Taipei County magistrate Lin Hsi-yao and many as Su promotes a cross-generation unity. He completes the registration process at 10:45. In 11 o'clock, DPP chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen finishes the process in the company of many young people. Tsai stresses that people of different generations are to bear the responsibilities together. She is accompanied by representatives of different clans, which shows Tsai has already won supports from different factions. The primary is a two-way race; the party central doesn't rule out the possibility to negotiate a candidate. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
