CELL PHONE BUS QUERY SYSTEM

To offer better service for passengers, the Taichung City government has established a satellite system, which will monitor the location of the buses in real time, while providing the exact arrival time on the bus stops. In addition, people will be able to access the schedule of the 900 buses across the city on smart phones via the new service, which is also expected to prevent future delays.

In Taichung, some people have to wait for a long time to take the bus, and if you miss one, you will need to wait for a long time. Some people say you have to plan carefully in Taichung as well as be a little lucky.

This will all soon change as from 2007 a new system has been implemented which allows all bus stations to have live updates telling passengers when the bus will appear.

Also, this information is going to be available to those using a cell phone. Now one can use a mobile phone to check this information with real-time dynamic control being available to bus operators. After the merger of Taichung City and County, 900 busses will have this system installed and 116 signs will display this dynamic information.

This will help manage the busses and control the waiting time.
