The notes left behind by her fans, speak for itself. One described UK soul singer Amy Winehouse as" too fragile, too beautiful, too big a talent for this world." The late star died this past Saturday at her London home, putting an end to her successful yet troubled life. Winehouse started pursuing her music path at a young age, and released her debut album, titled "Frank" in 2003. Winehouse rose to stardom after gaining positive reviews for the album, in which she co-wrote most of the songs. Winehouse's "Frank" later entered the UK Album Chart in 2004, achieving platinum success, while winning two nominations for Brit Awards. Winehouse proved her undeniable talent with her 2006 follow-up album, "Back to Black", which gave her five Grammy Awards, to become the first British female to snatch five Grammys in a night. But her glorious days didn't last long, and started to get dark after her marriage with former video production assistant Blake-Fielder Civil, which was reportedly filled with drug addiction and arrests. The star continued to lose to the battle of substance abuse, while she became a frequent visitor of rehab centers throughout the years of her time in the music industry. Winehouse also suffered from mental health problems, including depression, self-harm and eating disorders. Her public erratic and violent behavior became the talk of town, while it was clear that Winehouse was further and further away from the right track. After she stumbled on the Serbian stage, before being booed off by her fans for not being able to fully sing a song, the disturbed Brit had to call off her European tour entirely. A day before her sudden death, she was said to have met up with her mother, telling her "I love you, Mum." Evidently, she was hooked on to the lifestyle of self-destruction, and no one, not even her family, her ex-husband who was referred as her soulmate, nor her reported new lover, Reg Traviss had the power to pull her back into reality. Winehouse failed to turn her life around, and the lost soul left the world at the age of 27, with only her soulful tunes for us to remember. Rest in peace. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
