Since the introduction of robotic surgeries to Taiwan several years ago, more and more cases of success have been reported. Advantages of this new medical technology include greater precision, smaller incisions and shorter healing time. And it's also been proven to reduce scarring and loss of blood.

The da Vinci Surgical System is a robotic surgical system that performs complex surgeries using a minimally invasive approach.

The arms are as flexible as human arms and can excise tumors or pick up objects with a steady hand.

The system is operated by a nearby surgeon, who observes the surgical procedure through a video camera.

The robotic arms are extremely precise, and their length and size allow them to reach places and angles that human fingers can't.

This patient recently opted to undergo robotic surgery to remove a thyroid tumor.

The arm made an incision under his armpit to reach his throat, which means that the surgery left his neck scar-free.

In terms of precision and accuracy, surgical robots are superior to human surgeons.
