Well, here on CTS, we have the latest update about his condition. Dou Dou's recent bone marrow transplant has been successful, and the trooper is reported to be doing well. Although Dou Dou is lying in bed, he has not felt this energetic in over a year. Six months ago, Dou Dou underwent chemotherapy to treat his neuroblastoma. Five months ago, doctors removed a tumor from his suprarenal gland. Although he was so weak that he couldn't walk, he could often be seen selling candy with his father to pay for his medical fees. One month ago, Dou Dou underwent a successful bone marrow transplant, and he was able to get out of bed by himself for the first time on Wednesday. Dou Dou's mother was moved to tears, and says that every scar and incision on Dou Dou's body can also be found on her heart. Dou Dou has never complained or thrown a tantrum, and she is extremely comforted to see him now able to feed himself. Dou Dou's father has had to stay in Yunlin during the ordeal in order to sell candy, but was able to visit Dou Dou at the hospital this week. The two embraced for a long time upon seeing each other.
