An exhibition on the Culture of the Southern Song Dynasty opened on Friday, featuring over 400 items of artworks and documents of the era, which include a royal letter addressed to the great general Yue Fei. Nansung dynastys first emperor sung Kao Jji took the thrown about 800 years ago as he named the year Shao Xing, which meant cultural renaissance. His portrait of black governmental hat and red robe showed that he was an educated man who loves the arts and culture. In the 153 years of the Nansung dynasty, the rich economy allowed people to focus on creative cultures, crafts and paintings, which can all be seen in this new exhibition opening on Friday. a total of 410 pieces from the era will be on display. Besides paintings, scrolls and other potteries, 200 pieces form Japan, China and other 14 museums on loan are another feature. The bronze tiger biting the ring and 2 centimeters long gold doll on loan from the JeJiang Province museum are rare and are must-sees.
