With days and days closer to the election date, Taipei City's mayoral candidates, Hau Lung-pin and Su Tseng-chang, have their schedules full,

as both of them are showing collaborative efforts in pulling more votes for their parties. However, KMT's Hau continues to face criticism, with now PFP Chairman James Soong saying that Hau lacks the ability to be the capital city's mayor. In response, Hau said that he would assess his performance over the past four years.

Premier Wu Den-yih, KMT Honorary Chairman Wu Poh-hsiung, and Taipei City Mayor Hau Lung-pin were all in attendance at the opening of KMT City Councilor Wu Chih-kang's campaign headquarters.

At the same time, KMT Chairman Ma YIng-jeou was at the party's headquarters addressing the KMT National Congress and calling on party members to stay united during the elections.

The pan-green camp has been doing everything it can to keep the Flora Expo scandal in the headlines, and PFP Chairman James Soong recently joined the fray by saying that Hau is not fit to serve as the mayor of a capital city.

The DPP's Taipei City mayor candidate, Su Tseng-chang, meanwhile, eagerly latched on to Song and took his turn firing a broadside at Hau on Saturday.

With just a little over a month remaining until the election, the pressure is on.
