It's a big day for more than 30,000 people. The annual gay parade took place in Taipei on Saturday afternoon, setting a record in Asia, as one of the largest ever. Just in time for the elections, the participants are hoping the politicians will come out with policies to support their lifestyle. This year's gay parade follows on the back of the elections. They are demanding politicians present their gay rights policy. The view up top shows tens of thousands of people surrounding Chunghsiao W. Road in front of Taipei Train Station. They hope politicians actually present their policies, and not just yell out words. Although there was slight rain in the afternoon, organizers said there were over 30,000 people that participated, hitting a new Asian record. The parade was like a carnival as some were extravagantly dressed up. College clubs also participated, hoping to gain gay friendly atmosphere in their schools. This group of women came to the parade to promote beauty of small breasts. Gay people refuse to be invisible citizens anymore. The purpose of the parade is to show this and present their political power. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
