Taipei City Mayor Hau Lung-pin takes a visit at the Xingtian Temple to pray for a successful operation for the MRT's Luzhou Line and the Flora Expo. In addition, Hau said that he recently became a vegetarian, hoping that his prayers will be answered. On the other hand, his competitor, Su Tseng-chang, said that it is important to respect gods, but it is even more substantial to be capable in the office. On Tuesday morning, a delegation of Taipei City Government officials arrived at Xingtian Temple. Led by Mayor Hau Lung-pin, the group lit incense and prayed for successful openings for the MRT's Luzhou Line and the Flora Expo. Hau spoke entirely in the Taiwanese dialect during the visit, and said that he recently became vegetarian in the hopes that deities will answer his prayers. Hau's opponent in the year-end municipal elections, Su Tseng-chang, responded to Hau's temple visit by saying that he hopes for successful Luzhou Line and Flora Expo openings, but that the city government's operational management abilities are more important. In between his own temple visit and canvassing the streets, Su also blasted the Taipei City Government's execution of the MRT's Wenhu Line and Matra train cars. With only 25 days remaining until voters head to the polls, the election is heating up. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
