KMT Xinbei city mayoral hopeful, Eric Chu, pressed charges on Sunday against 6 DPP city council candidates, saying that they released false information about him. In response, Tsai Ing-wen, who's also the DPP chairwoman, said that this is in fact a test on Chu's integrity. The Xinbei City KMT Candidate, Eric Chu, has come to Liuzhou with his campaign. Even though Luzhou is known to be DPP's turf, many KMT supporters have gathered along the streets to show their support. Other than that, Chu and his campaign also went to Banciao Prosecutors Office to file a lawsuit against six DPP city council candidates for distributing false reports about Chu on their election pamphlets for using a tabloid report, which is considered to be untrue. Therefore, Chu has made a lawsuit against these six DPP members under the Election and Recall Act and Aggravated Defamation on Sunday. Facing these accusations, the DPP Xinbei City candidate, Tsai Ingwen, also arrived at Luzhou to stabilize the voters confidence in the morning. In the afternoon, she also went to Zhonghe City, which is known to be KMT's turf to get more votes, while supporters welcome her with firecrackers. And facing Chu's lawsuit, Tsai's response is that Chu should face the tests against his integrity from the media and the society. With only five more days till the election date, both parties are working hard to get as many votes as possible before it's all over. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
