After being shot in the head on the 26th of November, Sean Lien made his first public appearance yesterday. Wearing a surgical mask all the time, he took the opportunity to express his gratitude for the public's concern, but declined to make further comments on the shooting incident.

Two weeks have passed since Sean Lien was shot at a campaign rally.

On Friday, he made his first post-shooting appearance and addressed the media outside his home.

Apart from wearing a surgical mask, Sean's bullet wound was covered with gauze and his face remained somewhat swollen.

His wife, who was at his side, continuously berated the media to avoid touching Lien's face and keep their distance.

Lien declined to comment on the shooting, but his friends have denied reports that Lien wanted the Yonghe police to drop its investigation.

Sources close to Lien have also said that it is unlikely that the shooting was a case of mistaken identity, and that he wants to in better health before calling a press conference.
