The pet grooming industry is no doubt a lucrative business, with owners willing to spend big on their companions. Taking about 15 billion NT dollars annually from customers' pockets in Taiwan, a domestic university is now offering opportunities for students to get into the money-making field, by launching a four-year pet grooming program, the first of its kind in the nation. Over the course of four years, individuals will be trained to wash, trim and style the little animals. In addition, they will also have to take psychology classes to understand the minds and moods of the furry pals. The school will also be working with various groups by dolling up 100 stray dogs every year, to spread their care and to help students brush up on their skills. Registration for this program will start this coming July. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
