Young voters seem to be the main target of DPP presidential hopefuls, as Chairperson Tsai Ing-wen and former premier Su Tseng-Chang are both scheduled to give talks on college campuses starting this week. Former vice president Annette Lu said she also has similar plans for later this month. On Tuesday, DPP Chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen delivered a lecture en Tsai told students that competition will grow fiercer in the future, and that they should start under Former Vice President Annette Lu will be embarking on her own university and technical college campus tour at the end of the month. She says that she will receive a warmer welcome than Tsai, because she is willing to discuss topics other than politics. Former Premier Su Tseng-chang's aide, meanwhile, claims that Su has received innumerable lecture invitations from schools, and says that Su will start his lecture tour at Shih Hsin University before heading to central and southern Taiwan. Su launched his personal website far earlier than Tsai and Lu, and therefore believes that he has closer ties with young voters. All three are now doing their best to keep themselves in the public eye as they court the youth vote.
